Banemore Herefords was established in 1981. The property is located 25kms south east of Hamilton and 15 kms west of Penshurst in Victoria.
Our breeding aims:
Produce practical, easy-care, commercial Poll Herefords that will adapt to paddock and feed lot conditions and maintain good structure. Average birth weight, sufficient milk, high fertility, high yearling and 600-day growth with high yielding carcasses. Current priority is maximum calving ease and IMF while maintaining high yielding and high growth rates.

Banemore Poll Hereford Stud Dispersal
The dispersal of the Banemore Poll Hereford Stud will take place on Thursday 5th March 2020 at Banemore, Penshurst, Victoria
In addition to 35 Rising 2 year Old Stud Bulls, the 39th and final Sale will include registered seedstock Hereford Females and “elite” yearling bulls.
The Jenkin Family, came from Nayook, Mount Gambier in 1981 and has been breeding Herefords for over 60 years. The Banemore Stud was involved in the program which pioneered Breedplan in Australia. With an exceptional history of genetic selection, the Stud holds 5 Star Completeness status for Breedplan performance recording.
Progeny of Banemore Herefords has been widely recognized for carcase quality, growth attributes and hardiness and has played a key role in improvements to herds across Southern Australia.
